Data analysis can assist to identify areas of improvement for both business and patient health outcomes. The measurement and analysis of data is how we can track and identify that improvements have lead to change. Collecting and measuring data helps to objectively demonstrate that changes are creating improvements; it is the evidence.
NCPHN has begun to implement a new program to support data based quality improvement in general practice – the Measuring for Improvement (MI) Program. The North Coast Primary Health Network’s GP Support Officers provide support to general practice within data informed quality improvement activities. The program makes use of a suite of tools for both data analysis and benchmarking.
