Are Your Opening Hours Changing over the Holiday Period?

This summer, we can support our local communities and visitors to access the right care, at the right place, at the right time.

Practices are encouraged to update their operational hours and after hours support information so we can ensure our service directory is up to date. This information is crucial for our community members, visitors to our area and other health services like hospital and emergency staff*.

Our region has been through a lot recently with the bushfires and drought conditions, and we want to give people the best opportunity to take care of their health over summer.

Please use the form below to update your opening days / hours by midday Friday 20 December 2019. Plus, you may wish to provide some extra information – see examples below.

“Visitors welcome. Walk-ins accepted. Closed Sunday and public holidays. The practice is closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day. After hours arrangements: Call “Medical Deputising Service” on ph. XXX XXX.”

“Practice patients only. Closed Saturday, Sunday and public holidays. Closed for two weeks at Christmas / New Year. After hours arrangements: When the practice is closed, a message on the practice answering machine will advise you of the rostered doctor’s mobile number to call for all after-hours care. This service is only available for existing patients. Please dial XXXX XXXX.”

*Information provided will be published to the service directory which will be promoted to consumers, as well as emergency and hospital staff.
