Supporting Children and Families Impacted by Drought

The Emerging Minds: National Workforce Centre for Child Mental Health (NWC) has developed a suite of free, online drought-specific resources to support GPs, health and social service providers, educators, first responders and community leaders as they engage with children and their families. The resources provide an overview of videos, podcasts, printable fact sheets and workshops to run through with your team.

The resources form part of the NWC’s Community Trauma Toolkit, a suite of online resources developed to help support children and families before, during and after a disaster or traumatic event, including ongoing events such as drought. Access NWC’s Community Trauma Toolkit here.

Further fact sheets, videos, podcasts, e-learning courses and workshops on children’s mental health are available for free online via Emerging Minds.

You can contact NWC Senior Workforce Consultant (Rural & Remote), Annabel Axford at axforda@emergingminds.com.au.
