Artworks need to be received by 5pm AEST Friday 11 January 2019
Calling for local artworks to be featured on the cover and layout of North Coast Primary Health Network’s Reconciliation Action Plan.
Entries are invited from all Aboriginal Nations between Tweed and Port Macquarie including; Bundjalung, Arakwal, Gumbaynggirr, Yaegl, Githabul, Birpai and Dunghutti and should explore what reconciliation and the health of our local community means to you, your family and community.
North Coast Primary Health Network (NCPHN) is developing a Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP).
Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander health is central to our organisation and we are committed to supporting Closing the Gap in health inequities.
With the implementation of the RAP, we hope to build on established relationships with Aboriginal organisations and communities.
We hope to do this through meaningful engagement, acknowledgement of history, respecting cultural diversity, providing opportunities, and understanding health through the lens of Aboriginal people.
As part of our RAP, we are developing cultural activities in partnership with our RAP working group.
One activity is inviting entries of original artworks to be included in the upcoming RAP layout. Artwork from each Nation will be chosen to be displayed and to represent all Nations on the North Coast.*
Open to all levels of artists who:
- identify as Aboriginal or
Torres Strait Islander
- are living between Tweed and Port Macquarie and
- respond to the theme of reconciliation and health
